Painting of “Once Wild”

This painting took about 50 hours and over three weeks to finish. As each brush stroke brought out the endurance and determination of each horse I feel more and more in love with the painting and what it meant for me.

I truly hope you enjoy this painting.

It will be for sale and prints will be available as well.

“Once Wild”

Oil on Canvas

24”x24”

This oil painting is a visceral and emotive representation of the wild, untamed spirit that lives within us all. The thundering hooves of the wild horses as they gallop across the open plains, with a lone cowboy in pursuit, evoke a feeling of freedom and abandonment. The piece speaks to the idea that as humans, we have tamed our wildness in the pursuit of progress and civilization. But it serves as a powerful reminder that our primal selves should not be forgotten. It urges us to tap into that wildness, reconnect with it, and never lose sight of it as we move forward in life.
