Still Blooming

Artist Statement:

“This haunting piece captures the raw and vulnerable emotion of loving someone, even when it means risking heartache.

The central figure, a woman with her hair adorned in flowers, gazes downward with a sense of longing and contemplation. A large bee rests on her shoulder, symbolizing the potential for pain and heartache that comes with loving someone.

But the woman is at peace with the bee's presence, accepting that pain is a natural and inevitable part of love. She is the flower that attracted the bee, and in this moment, she is willing to open her heart and be vulnerable, no matter the cost.

The piece is beautifully rendered in oil paint, inviting the viewer to feel the depth of emotion in the scene.”
